Krzysztof Ingarden

Born: 1957, in Wroclaw, Poland.

Vice Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts,

President of “Ingarden & Ewy Architects”
Graduated Krakow Polytechnics in 1982, doctorate in 1987. Between 1983-1985 doctorate internship in the School of Art & Design, University of Tsukuba, Japan; between 1984-5 worked in the office of Arata Isozaki, Tokyo; in 1987 in J.S.Polschek & Partners, New York. Co-founder of JET Atelier office (1991) and Ingarden & Ewy, Architects (1998). Since 2002 General Honorary Consul of Japan in Krakow and professor and vice dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts of the A.F.Modrzewski Krakow University College. Guest lectures in Tsinghua University, Beijing (2003), Musashino Institute of Technology, Tokyo (2005), Bauhaus University in Weimar (2006), Faculty of Architecture Fachhochshule Bremen (2007), Cottbus University (2007). Originator and curator of the Japanese part of the ‘3-2-1 New Architecture in Japan and Poland” (2004 - ) exhibited in Krakow, Poznan, Lodz, Wroclaw, Katowice – 2004 and Rome, Milano -2005, Padova – 2006, Bratislava 2006. In 2007 received the 1st Award of the Contractword Awards, Hannover , Germany for Polish Pavilion EXPO 2005 Aichi, Japan.

Jacek Ewý 

Born: 1957, in Krakow, Poland

Vice President – Ingarden & Ewy Architects
Graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at the Krakow University of Technology (1983); worked as an assistant at the Municipal Design Office in Krakow (1983-1989); completed a design internship programme at GRM Kennedy & Partners in Edinburgh (1977-78), and also at Jan Noordman Architektenburo s’Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands (1986). Senior designer in Bechtel Ltd. Baghdad (1989-1990). Co-founder of Jet Atelier (1991-2009) and Ingarden & Ewý, Architects (since 1998).

  • Competiton site and budget: Total floor area of 3,000m2 and the total cost of US$9,600,000
  • Eligibility: All nationalities of architects with the qualification equivalent to those of Japanese 1st class architect license.
